Advanced ICT to cope with the challenges of agriculture, forestry and environment

The current situation of the agricultural market is more dynamically than ever. Especially, the rapid growth of populations outside Europe and US, increasing environmental problems worldwide, legal requirements, the growing demand of standards in agricultural production and the inevitable trend toward a sustainable management to keep or boost natural resources are pressuring the agriculture and are thereby opening up unprecedented opportunities.
